Calgary's Kandi 'Krush' Wyatt TKO'd by British boxer Natasha Jones in fight for IBF world welterweight title
“I can’t sum that up,” Jonas told Sky Sports post-fight of the home-country support she enjoyed. “Thank you to everyone who spent their hard-earned money to be here.”
,“COVID was kind of a weird plateau,” admitted Wyatt. “I suddenly shifted my mindset a little bit with COVID where I just started to train. I continued to train because I love the sport and it’s still fun to me. So like shifting to that mindset through COVID helped me get through it. It was hard to have like those long layoffs without fights, but you just keep training and try to stay as ready as possible.
Jonas dialed up the pressure in round five. A straight left hand slammed home as Wyatt was forced on the defensive after previously plodding forward. Jonas continued to box and move, planting her feet when she had Wyatt within her most effective punching range. More punishment was doled out in round seven to where there was genuine concern for the health and wellbeing of Wyatt. Jonas went on the attack early in round eight, with one final power punching sequence enough to force the stoppage.
