Mason Lam, vice-president for Alberta with JLL, said it comes down to not enough parking spots for the number of vehicles trying to park downtown. He said in 2016, 161,000 vehicles were entering Calgary’s downtown on an average day, but there were only 32,000 available parking stalls.Article content “I think from a cultural standpoint, Calgarians are pretty used to driving everywhere we go,” said Lam.He also said the city lacks transit in some of its most populated and growing areas.
