Calgary’s Brendan MacDougall hopes to wow home crowd at Fortinet Cup Championship

Brendan MacDougall is the lone local in the field for the PGA Tour Canada\u0027s season\u002Dending Fortinet Cup Championship at Country Hills.

“So I’m really glad that I can be there, glad that I can be playing. Hopefully, I’ll give some local people something to cheer about.”

They’ve all earned a passing grade already, securing playing privileges for 2024 on a merged developmental circuit. When the season-long Fortinet Cup standings are finalized Sunday, the top five will climb to the next level, scoring status on the Korn Ferry Tour. MacDougall currently sits at No. 52, so he’ll need another big week, but he returns home to Calgary with some momentum on his side.
