Calgary kicks off summer with popular Lilac Festival yyc
The annual festival was billed as one of the largest ever, with the expanded area on 17th Avenue — tested in last year’s iteration of the event — making space for dozens more vendors as well as two new performance stages, bringing the total to seven. The more than 600 vendors and food trucks stationed along the streets is the highest number the festival has ever seen, and some of those sellers came from locales across the country.
