The 26-year-old Greer checks in at 6-foot-3 and 209 pounds. He suited up for 61 games with the Bruins last season, with five goals, seven assists and seven fights.Greer, who hails from Joliette, Que., will likely compete for duties on Calgary’s fourth line. “Last year in Boston, he was impactful,” said Flames head coach Ryan Huska of Greer, who has amassed 20 points and 170 penalty minutes in 108 big-league outings.
“He didn’t play a ton in regards to the time on ice, but he had impact when he was on the ice. We’re looking for a guy to help bring a little bit more energy to our group, a little bit more bite. And I saw him when he was a younger guy in the minors and he was a good young player.
