ICYMI: Calgary-based cannabis producer SNDL trims nearly 100 jobs yyc
“The Valens Company Inc. transaction has accelerated the need to optimize and rationalize SNDL’s manufacturing and operational footprint to better address market saturation and oversupply,” said SNDL.
On Monday, SNDL said it’s expecting to announce record net revenues and cash for its fourth quarter of 2022. Some observers and industry players say the Alberta retail market, which now counts 758 stores, is oversaturated. In the meantime, some players are looking further afield, such as Australia’s medical cannabis market, to move their stock.
