NORTH SYDNEY, N.S. – Dr. T.L. Sullivan and Whitney Pier Memorial claimed wins in the Cape Breton Middle School Soccer League on Thursday.
In girls’ ‘A’ action, Dr. T.L. Sullivan blanked Oceanview Education Centre 4-0 at Carman Young Field in North Sydney. Kate Finney, Baille Davidson, Evelyn Power and Cate Power netted the goals for the Florence school. Ellie Power recorded the shutout between the pipes.At Neville Park, Whitney Pier Memorial shutout Centre scolaire Étoile de l’Acadie 2-0 in boys’ ‘A’ play.
Luke Andrea scored both goals for the Whitney Pier school. Caleb Wilson and Isaac Cuber shared time in goal for the shutout.
