Actor Byeon Woo-seok takes home six awards, including the grand prize for Best Actor of the Year, at the 9th Asia Artist Awards held in Bangkok.
Jonathan HicapThe 9th Asia Artist Awards (AAA) ceremony was held at the Impact Challenger Hall in Bangkok, Thailand on Dec. 27. The emcees for the ceremony were actor Ryu Jun-yeol, IVE's Jang Won-young, and ZEROBASEONE's Sung Han-bin. Actor Byeon Woo-seok, whose popularity soared after starring in the drama “Lovely Runner,” emerged as the most awarded artist at the ceremony with six.
He won the grand prize (“daesang”) for Best Actor of the Year, Best Artist for TV/Film, Best Couple together with actress Kim Hye-yoon for “Lovely Runner,” Best OST for “Sudden Shower,” Popularity Award, and Asia Celebrity. 'First, I would like to thank the 'AAA' staff, and I would like to sincerely thank the viewers of ‘Lovely Runner.’ I would like to thank the director, writer, cinematographer, lighting director, and all the staff members, and I would also like to thank the actors I filmed with. I would like to thank the hair and makeup staff who worked hard for Sun-jae, and I would like to sincerely thank the Varo Entertainment family who gave me great strength to get Byeon Woo-seok here,' he said.
