BYD Cars Philippines , under ACMobility, has introduced the BYD Seal Advanced , a new Rear-Wheel Drive variant of its flagship sedan. This model aims to enhance the brand’s electric vehicle (EV) offerings by integrating advanced driving technology with the sensation of rear-wheel drive – all under a competitive price point. The BYD Seal Advanced is designed to meet the needs of consumers looking for an efficient and sophisticated driving experience.
According to Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines, the vehicle is tailored for drivers who prioritize safety and modern technology, offering an impressive driving range and a suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). Equipped with a 61.4 kWh ‘Blade Battery’, the BYD Seal Advanced provides a driving range of up to 510 kilometers (NEDC). This model distinguishes itself from the BYD Seal Performance with its 18-inch alloy wheels and innovative Cell-to-Body technology, which integrates the battery into the vehicle’s structure. This design enhances safety and performance by increasing torsional rigidity and reducing weight. The vehicle features a rear-mounted 203 PS Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor, generating 310 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 7.5 seconds. Charging options include a 110 kW DC fast-charging capability, allowing the battery to recharge from 30% to 80% in about 30 minutes. Additionally, a 7 kW AC charging system enables a full recharge overnight, making it suitable for daily use. The BYD Seal Advanced includes a 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch intelligent rotating touchscreen, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for enhanced connectivity. Its interior is designed for comfort, featuring a full-leather finish and a 10-speaker sound system. Safety features are highlighted by the Di-Pilot ADAS. This system encompasses various active safety technologies, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Blind Spot Detection, aimed at providing a secure driving experience. The BYD Seal Advanced comes with a price tag of PHP1,998,000, which includes an 8-year or 160,000-km warranty for the Blade Battery – whichever comes first
