KUALA LUMPUR, March 22 ― Bursa Malaysia stayed up at mid-afternoon today, in line with regional markets ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision later tonight.
On the broader market, gainers led decliners by 442 to 371, while 379 counters were unchanged, 1,081 untraded, and seven others suspended.Regionally, Singapore’s Straits Times Index advanced 1.54 per cent to 3,222.95, Japan's Nikkei 225 jumped 1.93 per cent to 27,466.61 and Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index bounced 1.81 per cent to 19,607.53.
