Burnaby's Lindsey Butterworth, who competed with Canada at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, may soon be honoured for the 50th year of NCAA Div. II.
Lindsey Butterworth tore up the rubber while wearing the red jersey of her hometown Simon Fraser University track and field team nearly 10 years ago.
She's one of a total of 18 finalists from across the Great Northwest Athletic Conference for the honour, which will be cut down to two athletes — one woman and one man — for the national vote. The Coastal Track Club member earned seven All-American selections during her career with SFU, which included track and field and cross-country.
