New Westminster police are investigating whether alleged suspect could be linked to another assault in the city
A man has been charged in connection to a recent assault in Westminster Pier Park – and police are investigating to see if he could be responsible for similar incidents elsewhere in New Westminster.
In response to what they called a “cruel” incident, the NWPD released a description of the alleged suspect and said they were “determined to find the offender” and track him down. Police subsequently arrested a suspect. In an Oct. 12 news release, the New Westminster Police Department said investigators are aware of some similarities between the assault in Westminster Pier Park and an assault on Sixth Street in uptown New West on Sept. 27.
