TFC coach Bob Bradley admits it will be a challenge to get his club ready to match the intensity expected from the Philadelphia Union.
“On the last day of the season, coming off a loss, with all the excitement that they have for the playoffs, they’re going to be flying,” TFC coach Bob Bradley said of his Eastern Conference rivals. “They’ve had a great season. They’re undefeated at home, they lost 4-0 in the last game to Charlotte, and in order to ensure themselves being in first place, they need to win.”Sign up to receive daily headline news from the Ottawa SUN, a division of Postmedia Network Inc.
Bradley admitted that it’s going to be a challenge to get his club ready to match the intensity they expect from Philly on Sunday afternoon. Veteran midfielder Jonathan Osorio — the club’s career appearance leader — is out with “neurological dysfunction” and may have played his final game with TFC as the Brampton native becomes a free agent at the end of the season. The club’s there Italian players — Lorenzo Insigne, Federico Bernardeschi and Domenico Criscito — are all questionable for Sunday’s game and that, of course, would be a major blow to the team’s attack.
“They have their way of playing,” the TFC coach added. “They’re a team that plays off of loose balls and second balls. They’re not a team that’s worried too much about possession. They’re a team that’s direct in certain moments.
