Williams told DailyMail.com that because Coors Light and Miller Lite are so far behind Bud Light in sales, “I don’t think they have a chance to surpass Bud Light,” despite the brand’s recent slump. Bud Light sales started going downhill on April 1, when Mulvaney first promoted the beer on her social media pages while showing off a personalized can with her face on it.
In the aftermath, furious consumers called for a boycott of the brand, with politicians and celebrities alike banishing cans and using them for target practice.
