abc.net.au/news/super-rugby-pacific-brumbies-defeat-blues/102056086The ACT Brumbies have shown they are not to be messed with this Super Rugby Pacific season after beating the Blues 25-20 in Melbourne.
Now holding a 2-0 win-loss record, the Brumbies relied on their set-piece dominance to control proceedings and had the Blues on the back foot early, winning a lop-sided penalty count 16-8. He was the second Blues player yellow-carded, but the two-man disadvantage did little to stop them grinding their way into the match, scoring through Ricki Riccitelli and later via a powerful run from Tom Robinson.

Government threw ‘fuel on the fire’ of super debate after ‘uncomfortable’ interviewThe government has thrown “fuel on the fire” of the superannuation tax debate as both the Treasurer and Prime Minister fronted the media to defend the underestimated backlash, according to Sky News Digital Editor Jack Houghton. Earlier this week Treasurer Jim Chalmers revealed super funds valued at more than $3 million will be taxed 30 per cent from 2025-26. Mr Houghton said the Treasurer looked “visibly uncomfortable” when he was questioned by Nine’s Today Show on whether the government broke an election promise. “That was nothing compared to what he looked like when fronting Seven's Sunrise host David Koch,” he said. “When he gave a textbook lesson on how to pin down a subject.” Mr Chalmers’ comments prompted a “frantic” Prime Minister to rush to the ABC to rebuke his own Treasurer and try to gain control of the debate, Mr Houghton added.
