Two brothers have been found guilty of assault and aggravated assault for the vicious 2018 beating of a Mississauga father during a road rage case a Peel police officer called one of “the most violent things he had ever seen.”

Delivering the verdict Tuesday, Dawson described a Peel police officer’s account of witnessing part of the “gruesome” 2018 attack against Mississauga father Mohammad Abu-Marzouk, 43. The officer told court the brothers were treating Abu-Marzouk’s head “like a soccer ball,” the judge said. The brothers were also found guilty of assault for an attack on Fuat Yucel, 53, a man who ran to Abu-Marzouk’s aid when he was “set upon by both men” in the parking lot of Mississauga Valley Community Centre and Library, following a family picnic on July 15, 2018.Abu Marzouk was taken to St. Michael’s Hospital, where he was treated forAt the time, Abu Marzouk’s brother told Torstar the incident was sparked by a fender-bender as his brother hit a passing car while backing out of a parking spot.

“Finally, we’re here, and the trial is over and we get justice. We trust our Canadian law system,” she said.Of the attack, he said: “I don’t remember much.”
