Broncos coach Kevin Walters has weighed in on revelations star prop Payne Haas will test his value on the open market, issuing a stunning declaration.
The State of Origin sensation’s contract expires at the end of 2024.
“We don’t normally like to talk about contracted players and that’s not the space, but I will say this about Payne: I believe he’ll stay a Bronco,” Walters declared. While most NRL outfits were expected to try to lure the 23-year-old to their ranks, Rugby Australia has also been outspoken about its desire to bring him to the 15-man code.
