BREAKING: A major emergency situation is unfolding in Sydney after scaffolding collapsed, leaving two workers trapped. More to come.

Paramedics were called just after 12.20pm when a scaffolding structure collapsed on Epping Road in Macquarie Park.he was eating his lunch next to the scene — the Lachlan’s Line mixed-use residential and commercial construction project — when he heard a loud crash and saw people fleeing.

The man told the network it was a “scene of panic” as it became clear people were stuck beneath a mountain of debris.
