BREAKING: BC Hydro reports power outage in Rosswood, north of TerraceBC
The interruption to service was triggered by a tree falling on power lines, the Crown corporation said on itsAccording to BC Hydro, the outage occurred shortly after 4 p.m. and crews were dispatched to the location to address the issue. An update from BC Hydro’s website just before 6 p.m. revealed that a crew had arrived on site.Approximately 31 customers in the area are currently without power due to the incident, BC Hydro said.
Earlier in the day, the Terrace area was subjected to significant rainfall and strong winds. While it’s not confirmed if weather was a contributing factor, high wind speeds can cause trees to fall and damage power lines. BC Hydro is urging residents to remain safe, maintain a distance from any downed power lines and report any hazards related to the outage.
