A man has been charged with assaulting police after a trio fighting in a Gold Coast bar fight smashed through a window and plunged four metres to the footpath below, shocking onlookers. A police officer was allegedly assaulted after he turned up to control the fracas at Hideaway Kitchen and Bar at Broadbeach.Hideaway owner Scott Imlach said he'd never seen anything remotely like it in the seven years he had been running the venue.The scrapping trio went right through a safety glass window, he said.
