“This issue is far bigger than me or this prime minister,” Smith said. “I know that — and I hope he knows that.
“The prime minister is being criticized across the country and from within his own party as being unnecessarily divisive and unable to improve national unity or economic growth,” Smith added. She put together a team of five key ministers to work on this, “and will be following up with further correspondence to Mr. Trudeau regarding next steps in the near future.
