Police are calling for public information as they investigate the 'distressing' incident, which led to the boy being taken to hospital in Port Macquarie.

The public toilets are at Wayne Richards Park, which has a soccer field and mountain bike tracks that are regularly used by children. "It's a distressing incident and these types of incidents should not happen within our community," he said. "I think everyone should just take more caution when … using a public rest room and when you've got children," he said.
