SEMPORNA: Borneo Divers Mabul Resort (Borneo Divers) has been accorded the prestigious 4-star rating.
Tourism, Arts and Culture Deputy Minister Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, on behalf of Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing, presented the 4-star rating certificate to Datuk Hajan Gurimbang, Director of Borneo Divers and Sea Sports Sdn Bhd, owner of the resort over the weekend. Borneo Divers, a pioneer dive operator of Sipadan Island, globally known as one of the top 10 dive destinations in the planet has tastefully enlarged and upgraded the resort.

Khairul said that it is no easy feat to create a 4-star establishment in an island where even the basic necessities of water and electricity has to be solved and congratulated Borneo Divers for creating a beautiful and comfortable resort. “It is timely to now have a 4-star resort in Mabul Island as we continue our efforts to position Mabul as the international gateway to Sipadan,” he added.
