BONAVISTA, N.L. — Police in Bonavista are investigating a break-in and theft at a commercial refrigeration trailer parked behind the Cabot Stadium.

Mounties believe the trailer, which was parked just off Confederation Drive, was broken into shortly after 10 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12 with some frozen food items stolen from inside. Officers are turning to the public for help identifying the occupants of a blue pickup truck police allege was used during the break-in.

Police said the truck had a loud muffler and sped off from the area after being spotted by a passerby, who reported the crime to the police.Police ask residents in the area to check their surveillance footage between 10-10:30 p.m. on Oct. 12.
