KOTA KINABALU: A climber who sprained his right shoulder while descending Mount Kinabalu in Kundasang on Thursday (March 16) has been rescued.

The Fire and Rescue Department's Mountain Search and Rescue unit received an emergency call at 1.15pm on Thursday alerting them about a 29-year-old man who was injured after suffering a fall on the route down at KM3.3 of the mountain.

"The Mosar team with a mountain guide and a Sabah Parks officer, went to the location and provided first aid to the victim and put his injured arm in a sling."He was then taken by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment," said the Fire and Rescue spokesman, adding that the operation ended at 4.10pm.
