According to a GoFundMe page set up by her aunt, the 22-year-old was found by B.C. Search and Rescue teams. The page states that after leaving a yoga retreat McDermott’s vehicle was found broken down on Highway 97C between Merritt and Logan Lake. “All of Jaqui’s belongings were left with her van. Local community members recall seeing Jaqui around her vehicle,” the page read.
RCMP Air Services and Police Dog Services were called in to help search and rescue teams. The page was set up to help cover the cost of her parents flying to B.C. to co-ordinate their own search efforts.Share this article in your social network
