The boys were said to have been playing with three other friends at the Old Durin Wharf and drowned because they couldn’t swim. The deceased were identified as Justin Siaw and Kong Wei Heng, both aged 15 and the search and operation which entered its third day yesterday, was concluded.“Both victims were later identified by their family members and their bodies were handed over to the police,” he added.
They played there because the water was not high at the time. However, the two boys walked further away from the wharf and realised that the river was getting deeper. They were swept away.
