BN likely to be offered MB posts in 3 states, says Khalid FMTNews
PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Harapan is expected to allow Barisan Nasional to name their menteri besar candidates if it wins the state elections in Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu, said Amanah communications director Khalid Samad.“It cannot be denied that the candidates for menteri besar in Selangor and Negeri Sembilan, and chief minister in Penang will remain with the incumbent ,” Khalid said in an Utusan Malaysia report.
“However, we will probably discuss with BN for them to propose menteri besar candidates in the other three states. The six states must hold their elections within the next four months. MCA president Wee Ka Siong said last week seat negotiations for the elections will be finalised by the parties in the unity government by mid-April.
The distribution of seats was among the issues discussed at the unity government’s second secretariat meeting on March 19.
