BMW’s Mini apologises over Shanghai Auto Show’s ice cream ‘discrimination’
BMW-owned car brand Mini has issued an apology after a video apparently of staff showing discrimination towards a Chinese visitor at the Shanghai Auto Show went viral on social media. – AFP pic, April 21, 2023.
CAR brand Mini apologised yesterday over accusations of discrimination at the Shanghai Auto Show after a video apparently showed staff at its booth handing free ice cream to a foreigner after refusing it to a Chinese visitor. A video compilation posted on social media platform Weibo appears to show workers telling the Chinese visitor they were out of the dessert.
