The BlueJays have acquired outfielder Socrates Brito from the Padres and will place Dalton Pompey on the 60-day injured list.

This comes on the heels of a trade the Blue Jays made with the San Diego Padres that saw Toronto acquire outfielder Socrates Brito in exchange for outfielder Rodrigo Orozco.

Pompey first suffered a head injury during spring training and has a previous history of concussions.to the San Francisco Giants for infielder Alen Hanson and right-handed pitchers Juan De Paula and Derek Law. The team will recall outfielder Anthony Alford from triple-A Buffalo to take Pillar’s place on the roster.
