THUNDER BAY – Environment Canada has issued a blizzard warning for the Thunder Bay area, with snowfall expected to combine with wind gusts of 70 to 80 km/h starting Friday afternoon and lasting into Saturday.

Strong northwest winds and blizzard conditions were projected to develop late Friday afternoon and continue until Saturday afternoon.
