An investigation has been launched after a bear cub broke out of its cage and went loose in the cargo hold of a flight docked at an international airport.
Iraqi Airways also issued an apology to its customers, with even the country’s Prime Minister later getting involved.
“The delay happened because of a shipment in the cargo hold… the animal escaped the crate specified for its shipment. Three days after the incident, on Monday, Iraq’s transport authorities confirmed there was in fact a second bear on board the plane as well but also did not clarify as to why.
