Biden dakwa 11 rakyat AS terbunuh, ada dijadikan tebusan Hamas
WASHINGTON: Presiden Amerika Syarikat , Joe Biden semalam mengatakan 11 rakyatnya terbunuh selain ada yang mungkin menjadi tebusan oleh pejuang Hamas selepas serangan mengejut ke atas Israel.
Biden dan pemimpin Perancis, Jerman, Itali dan Britain mengikrarkan sokongan mereka kepada Israel untuk mempertahankan diri apabila jumlah kematian di sana meningkat kepada 800 orang, manakala di Gaza, 687 orang menjadi korban. Biden berkata, Washington sudah memindahkan kapal pengangkut pesawat terbesarnya dan kapal perang lain lebih dekat dengan Israel sebagai tanda sokongan, sedang bekerjasama dengan sekutu utamanya dalam ‘usaha pemulihan tebusan’.
Beliau berkata pihaknya sedang berusaha mengesahkan bilangan korban itu tetapi percaya warga Amerika mungkin antara yang ditahan Hamas.
