KUALA LUMPUR: Following a recent data leak involving Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Fahmi Fadzil says that data management and processing must be handled better in future.
The Communications and Digital Minister also said there has to be emphasis given to the Personal Data Protection Act .
“Data management has to be more organised as well in future,” Fahmi told reporters when met during the Majlis Sekalung Budi at Angkasapuri on Thursday . “I understand that the information was passed to the department. So far, I haven’t received any latest updates. Earlier Thursday, Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin said the case involving the data of 11,891 UiTM applicants is currently being probed.
