Journalist and author Beth Day Romulo, widow of former foreign affairs secretary Carlos P. Romulo, died on Friday at the age of 98.
"Rest in peace, our dear grandmother Beth," she said. Maritina also asked the public to consider donating to the foundation instead of sending flowers.
She previously worked as an associate editor of the Manila Bulletin and authored several books, including "Grizzlies in Their Backyard" and "The Writer, the Lover and the Diplomat." —
