KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 17 — Berjaya Corporation Berhad founder Tan Sri Vincent Tan today obtained a court order to temporarily stop Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor from making and repeating alleged defamatory remarks against the businessman, until the end of Tan’s defamation lawsuit against the politician.
According to Chuah, the High Court’s injunctions were granted on an ex parte application dated August 9 by Tan and Berjaya Land. Chuah said the High Court is scheduled to have an inter parte hearing next Friday regarding the injunctions, which means the court will be hearing both sides and Sanusi will have a chance to oppose the injunctions against him.Tan and Berjaya Land filed the defamation suit against Sanusi
