Tributes are flowing for beloved British comedian John Bird who died aged 86, with friend and comedy partner Rory Bremner remembering him as “one of our great satirists'.
According to a statement reported by The Sun, Bird died"peacefully" on Christmas Eve but the news only became known to the public on Wednesday.

"It's an irony that one of our greatest satirists, so brilliant at portraying ministers, civil servants or high-ranking officials who exuded self-satisfaction, was himself so modest and self-effacing," he said.
