Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State, has advised its graduating students to be problem-solvers.
The Chairman/CEO of The Address Homes, Dr Olabisi Onasanya, said this while being conferred with an Honourary Doctorate Degree in Finance at the 7th Convocation of the University.
Onasanya said, “Take everything you have learnt in the course of your time here as a tool to help with solving people’s problems. Education is not an end in itself. It is a means to an end. The end is to create solutions for people you meet throughout your life. “Secondly, and please see this as vital, integrity is key! I usually say, “If money is lost, nothing is lost. If health is lost, something is lost. However, if integrity is lost, everything is lost.”
A statement by the institution said the conferment was approved by the University Senate in recognition of Onasanya’s professional excellence, illustrious persona as an excellent banker and brilliant Chartered Accountant, as well as his exemplary leadership in contemporary Nigeria with positive impacts on the lives of the vast majority of people.

Elections 2023: Ekiti PDP goes into contest with a divide houseEkiti State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is yet to put its house together barely three weeks to the presidential and National Assembly elections. However, it is the PDP that has impoverished itself, with the factions unable to put their differences aside and support their governorship candidate, in the 2022 governorship election. The party’s candidate, Mr Bisi Kolawole came a distant third going by the result announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
