Some of these works would increase the gross floor area or affect planning parameters, so approval must also be obtained from URA. “If the structures are found to be unsafe, BCA will issue a dangerous building order to instruct the owner to demolish the structures or take appropriate steps to make the structures safe,” said a BCA spokesperson.
