BC Ferries has cancelled all Sunday sailings between Brentwood Bay and Mill Bay due to a crew shortage, according to a service notice.
BC Ferries has cancelled all Sunday sailings between Brentwood Bay and Mill Bay due to a crew shortage., the ferry company says it was unsuccessful in securing the required number of crew on the Klitsa, meaning all April 2 sailings on that route are cancelled.
“We require a specific number of crew members on board the vessel to ensure the safety of our passengers in the unlikely event of an emergency and to comply with Transport Canada regulations. The decision to cancel a sailing in these circumstances is made when we have exhausted all options to find replacement crew,” BC Ferries said.
“That said, if circumstances change and replacement crew become available, we will notify customers immediately.”BC Ferries says it appreciates customers’ patience and apologizes for any inconvenience they may experience due to these cancellations.
