At the encampment, Charlottetown police and fire services could be seen inspecting the tents and structures at the encampment and removing potential fire hazards.
Residents at the encampment could be seen speaking to police and gathering up possessions. Will, a former resident who had just returned to the encampment in the morning, said the smoke seen by passersby was from a fire that had been lit in a barrel the night before. Fire and police are currently at the Charlottetown tent encampment. Posts on Facebook showed lots of smoke coming from the grounds this morning, and comments mentioned a fire. More to come
