EXCLUSIVE: Barney Walsh's star is definitely rising – but as Gladiators nears the end of its hugely successful reboot, what's 'going to happen next' might surprise people
First came their hit show Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad. Then, last year, the pair were confirmed as the hosts of the BBC's reboot of huge 90s TV series Gladiators, which reaches the end of its successful run next weekend with a grand final on Saturday, 30 March.
"Casualty are looking towards Barney, now that Charlie is gone," the source exclusively told OK! "Barney could be the next star of the show." And speaking to OK!, Derek, who has starred in almost 900 episodes of Casualty, said his final scenes were on of the biggest moments in his life, "Like the birth of a child or your wedding."
Barney Walsh’s character Cam Mickelthwaite arrived at Holby City with three other student nurses, Jodie Whyte , Rida Amaan and Ryan Firth . And some of his very first scenes were with legendary Derek.
