A very unlikely seeming poll by Bafta has claimed that Sackboy is the fifth most iconic video game character ever made.
What an odd list No matter whether they’ve ever played any of the Tomb Raider games, most people have heard of Lara Croft but would you say she was the most ‘iconic’ video game character of all time? Maybe, but she has definitely won a Bafta poll, putting her ahead of the likes of Mario, Sonic, and Master Chief. Bizarrely though Hitman’s Agent 47 was named the third most iconic and Sackboy the fifth.
He did star in 2020 spin-off Sackboy: A Big Adventure, and an endless runner mobile game last year, but developer Media Molecule also suffered major layoffs recently and its uncertain what the company is working on now.
