Kuala Lumpur: National top men’s singles shuttler Lee Zii Jia put up another resilient performance at the ongoing World Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark, while Ng Tze Yong crashed out.
Zii Jia, ranked 13th in the world ensured his place into the last 16 round after disposing of Canadian Brian Yang 21-11, 21-16 in the second round after a 33-minute match at the Royal Arena early today.However, Tze Yong’s second World Championship outing came to halt as early as the second round, after going down fighting against 12th seed Anders Antonsen of Denmark 24-22, 21-16 to crash the hopes of having an all-Malaysian affair in the last 16.
