Bacoor LGU closes down Barangay Hall after 7 officials contract COVID-19

– The city government here has ordered the temporary closure of Salinas II Barangay Hall due to the localized transmission of coronavirus disease from June 3 to June 17.

According to Executive Order No. 20, Series of 2021, seven barangay officials have contracted COVID-19. Other workers have also been exposed to positive cases and would need to undergo quarantine for 14 days.

During the temporary closure, members of the barangay tanod who have not been directly exposed to positive cases will set up security posts with the supervision of the Bacoor City Philippine National Police. Police officers will also augment them if needed. The City Health Office was already directed to conduct extensive contact tracing, surveillance, and testing of barangay hall employees.
