Nick Carter is facing a new lawsuit that claims he raped and physically assaulted a 17-year-old girl on a Backstreet Boys tour bus in 2001.

Ruth said she would tell people what happened, but Carter allegedly grabbed and bruised her arm, called her an ableist slur and said no one would believe her, Boskovich said. The suit also alleges Carter infected Ruth and the three other women with HPV. This isn’t the first time Carter has faced such allegations. In 2018, the Santa Monica Police Department confirmed it had begun an investigation into claims of sexual misconduct by the singer that occurred in 2003.
