An eight-month-old baby rescued from a house fire in Scarborough, Ontario, has died in hospital. A man found with self-inflicted injuries is in custody. Four people were rescued from the burning home: the baby, a four-year-old, a woman in her 70s, and a 38-year-old man. The four-year-old and the woman are recovering from minor injuries.

Toronto police say an eight-month-old baby rescued from a house fire in Scarborough has died in hospital.

All four were rushed to the hospital with both the baby and the adult in life-threatening condition.
