Drug recovery organization facing three sexual assault charges
Police in New Westminster, B.C., say a 50-year-old man who worked at a drug recovery organization has been charged with three counts of sexual assault.
The New Westminster Police Department Major Crime Unit says Adam Haber of Vancouver was arrested on May 30. The department says 11 alleged victims have come forward during their investigation of Haber, which began early this year. Police say the victims connected on social media, and believe there may be more who have yet to contact investigators.
Sgt. Andrew Leaver with the New Westminster Police says victims who “bravely come forward” should feel assured that investigators will listen to their experiences and take their safety seriously.
