Mayor Mike Goetz hopes Victoria\u0027s spending will help push Ottawa into providing big bucks

He added that he hoped the province’s spending to build the community’s climate resilience is a catalyst for the federal government to start thinking about contributing to strengthening flood protection in Merritt as well.recently made available from the federal government’s disaster mitigation and adaptation fund.
“Recent extreme weather events have reinforced how important it is for communities to have systems and infrastructure in place to protect residents, businesses and property,” said Richmond Mayor Malcolm Brodie.
