BREAKING: A 19-year-old was arrested for killing four policemen in Negros Oriental last month.

The police have arrested a suspect in the killing of four officers in Negros Oriental.

The Philippine National Police Region VII office announced that 19-year-old Jojo Torres Ogatis was arrested through a joint combat operation in Ayungon, Negros Oriental.In July 19, the PNP reported that four police officers were killed by members of the New People's Army , who ran off with the victims' firearms, valuable and motorcycles.

President Rodrigo Duterte has recently warned that he will implement"drastic" measures to address the recent spate of violence in the region. Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said that declaring martial law in the island is a possibility.
